Low Cost

Hello, I’m Nikki.

I come to this work shaped by nearly a decade of frontline social service work, which has led me to practice from a trauma-informed, harm-reduction oriented and intersectional approach. I tend to attract folks, who like me, are creative, neurodivergent, queer, and spiritually or politically-minded – those grappling with how to live, how to love, and how to stay tender in a complicated world.

Queer-identifying Neurodivergent Therapist

Therapy with me is relational, spacious, and exploratory. I hold a deep respect for the body’s wisdom and for the protective patterns we’ve developed – even the ones that confuse or frustrate us. I believe ‘symptoms’ are not simply problems to be fixed, but messengers shaped by experience and relationship, carrying important truths about what’s been endured and what still needs tending. As such, I welcome what’s heavy, hidden, and hard to name, while also making room for joy, humour, and irreverence.

My work is grounded in somatic therapy, parts work, mindfulness, and attachment theory. I’m interested in issues of identity, codependency, parentification, attachment wounds and trauma, as well as navigating grief, loss and life transitions. In session we may explore where and how emotions are stored in the body (and how we can endure, embrace or move them), and what parts of self are connected to them. I may point out patterns, offer skills & resources, or explore how we can reframe and expand perspectives in order to nurture authenticity, presence and agency.

As someone with ADHD, my interests are vast and varied. Outside of the therapy room you can find me birding, hanging out with wildflowers, at shows and protests, lifting weights, or writing songs inspired by sci-fi, tarot and dreams.
