About

Hello, I’m Becca.

I’m led by the principle that we grow through and towards relationship. Whatever you’re searching for, it will be more easily found with good company. I’m a spirited co-conspirator who will join you in your searching.

Non-binary Therapist

I’m non-binary, of Jewish diaspora, white, and I live with a chronic illness. Intersectional feminist and anti-oppressive values steady me and frame my understanding of emotional and relational distress – which is to say, we are always in context. Good therapy should concern itself with contemporary existential dilemmas of how to live well and feel safe inside systems that work to narrow possibility.

My practice is trauma-informed and at times trauma-focused. I owe this skillset to some fundamental, paradigm shaping clinical experiences; providing crisis support for survivors of sexual assault, working in outpatient treatment with survivors of complex childhood trauma, and helping frontline workers manage vicarious trauma.

I can be, depending on the occasion, gentle or direct, serious or silly. I live my values by embracing a lively improvisational collaboration between us. My style is relaxed, exploratory, and real. I listen well, offering no easy answers or judgements, and help you to make better sense of yourself and your experiences.

Qualifications

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (#7588) with CRPO and hold a Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology from University of Toronto.
